CAD/CAM Technician / Project Engineer (Fusion 360) – Liverpool

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 DOE + benefits

We are partnering with a well‑established steel fabrication specialist in Liverpool seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Technician / Project Engineer proficient in Fusion 360 to strengthen the technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models and CNC machining programs using Fusion 360.
• Translate engineering drawings into accurate CNC code for steel fabrication.
• Coordinate project timelines, material requirements, and toolpath optimization.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Perform on‑site setup, testing, and troubleshooting of CNC equipment.
• Maintain documentation, revision control, and compliance with industry standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in CAD/CAM within steel fabrication or related manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Fusion 360 (modeling, simulation, CAM).
• Strong understanding of CNC machining, tool selection, and G‑code programming.
• Experience with project engineering, cost estimation, and schedule management.
• Knowledge of GD&T, ISO standards, and health & safety regulations.
• Relevant technical diploma or engineering degree preferred.
