Staff Backend Engineer (NodeJS/Go) – Abu Dhabi
We are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer (also known as Senior Backend Engineer, Lead Backend Developer, or Backend Staff Engineer) to join our fast‑growing marketplace team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on building a platform that delivers essential goods while embedding social values, operating within the Last Mile Delivery domain. You will shape the technical direction of our backend services, leveraging NodeJS and Go to support a high‑throughput, cloud‑native environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive and enforce technical standards for backend systems across the Last Mile Delivery domain.
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices architecture using NodeJS and Go.
- Collaborate closely with product, data, and infrastructure teams to align engineering output with business goals.
- Implement API gateway strategies and event‑driven processing pipelines to ensure reliable data flow.
- Champion observability stack practices, including logging, tracing, and metrics, to maintain system health.
- Guide junior engineers through code reviews, mentorship, and best‑practice sharing.
